I was a music education major at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama during the late 1970's and earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree as well as a Masters of Science in Education degree from Troy.  I have directed several outstanding band programs in Tennessee and Georgia, and have recently worked with Marching Show Concepts of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.  I have been writing marching drill since I was a freshman in high school, and I attribute my drill writing skills to the superior high school and college marching bands in which I have been a member.
